I originally doodled a bear because one of the meanings of stave is something about beating a dog off a bear with a stick during bear-baiting.
But that is just fucking depressing.

Okay, I cheated and Googled strick. And this is a strick of flax. More or less. And here is where I reveal I can't really draw anything based on reality. That's why I prefer monsters with mitten hands and sock feet.
