So ye old blogging friends have started off another themed series. This time 'round, in the spirit of the awards season, the theme is "The envelope please.." or a best of sort of...thing. I think some of the blogging ladies are sticking to movies, but I am not. I love too many movies. Wait, I should more say I love too many crap movies. My movie posts would go like this:
Best movie about a groups of teenagers spending a Saturday in detention: The Breakfast Club
Best movie to watch on repeat whilst sewing even though you can't hear the dialogue: also The Breakfast Club
Best movie about surviving the zombie apocalypse in a mall: Dawn of the Dead (1978 version)
Best movie about surviving the zombie apocalypse in a pub: Shaun of the Dead
Best movie about surviving the zombie apocalypse in a nearly abandoned Paris apartment block: La Horde
Best movie where a mere gentle kiss on the neck sends my stomach tumbling into a thousand butterflies every damned time: Amelie
Best movie where the DVD art is nearly as good as the movie: The Royal Tenenbaums
Best movie despite there only being one damn female character: Fight Club
Best non-zombie zombie movie: 28 Days Later (honorable mention for watching on repeat while sewing)
Best heart being ripped out scene: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (that one might be contentious)
Best movie filled with puppet sex and violence: Meet the Feebles
Best movie to quote in order to bond with nerds: The Princess Bride (some might argue Monty Python, but I think TPB has wider appeal. And sword fighting!)

I could go on and on. I really could. But I won't. Because lazy.
The plan is to do these "best of" post a couple of times a week through the Oscars on Feb 26th. I plan on using a very, very broad brush on the "best of" theme. I will try to keep it interesting at least!
Also if you would like to drive yourself nuts trying to pick between movies, try Flickchart. Truly maddening.
Unrelated: I have worked out 4 times in the last week. The end is nigh!!
