The title would make more sense if you saw the "cards" Timmy and I exchanged on Monday. Timmy actually printed his out and mine was just a series of pictures. Timmy's card to me was a picture of a the eye of a hurricane (I), some yams (am), and a smiling ermine (happy your mine). I know, what a dork. Given that his first valentine's card to me was a hand drawn picture of him ripping his heart out of his chest and offering it to me and that I was quite charmed at the time, smiling rodents was pretty tame.
My "card" (like I said, I am lazy), was a picture of smiling Little Orphan Annie, a book of Shakespearean Verse and a surrey. I know, lame. I really wanted to use pic of TomKat's off-spring but the little alien hasn't been photographed yet and I am certain Timmy wouldn't have gotten it (the kid's name is Suri, if you have been under a rock).
On Monday we celebrated in high style by going to a movie (DaVinci Code, let's not even go there) and taking a stroll in the Japanese stroll garden. The garden was awesome as always and as always I wondered why we don't go there more often. We fed crazy fish and lolled about on grassy islands in the middle of ponds.
And then we went home and watched Super Troopers with my brother. Let me tell you - we are some crazy married people.
Also, I am so nearly finished with my Back-tack project. It is HOT up in my craft room during the day, so I can only work up there a few hours during the mornings. Seriously, I was making myself sick trying to work up there in the afternoon - so HOT. Here is a little peek at what I have done:
This has been a really fun project and I look forward to making more softies in the future. Far in the future, like winter when it is cold and not HOT. Phew.
