Well, I did get quoted in the paper. And I did sound pretty cheesy:
Longtime blog reader Whitney XXXXX says Dan's candid and often hilarious blog entries and numerous renovation photos have fostered a familiarity with the Chiltons and the Moxie before it ever opened.
"I don't really know Dan and Nicole personally; I've met them a couple of times," says XXXXX, an avid movie fan who was at one of the private screenings. "And this feels very strange, but I'm proud of them. I've been following it for so long."
Hey, surely I said something more intelligent than that. I distinctly remember saying that I like the hair cut of the woman in Me and You and Everyone We Know - something the newspaper-reading public NEEDS TO KNOW!!
Hmmm, I think I should grow out my bangs.
In other news, Timmy's school bag got stolen out of his van. Luckily for him we have been too poor to be able to buy his books yet so it was just his syllabuses and a couple weeks of notes. It still sucks, but it could have been much worse.
They tried to jimmy his stereo out too, but it was too big of a pain in the ass to get out (it was a pain in the ass to get in, as well) and they gave up on that. Probably the biggest heartache for Timmy was the 30-some of his favorite cds that were in the bag. Again, luckily, they had all been downloaded to the computer, but still bites.
Now Timmy locks his van. The price we pay for living in this booming metropolis.
